Popped over to Battlefront UK today and picked up my Corner Shop, newly repainted. Much improved on the original.

US Glider Engineers vs. Atlantik Wall Panzergrenadiers in Fighting Withdrawal
This Thursday, Owen and I got together for a game of Late War. He is looking at his options for Corrivalry in February, and I was happy to oblige with a Red vs. Blue match up. The armies were 1650 points.

Premium Building Re-paints
In my previous post I showed off my new shiny Premium Subscription Buildings from Battlefront. Unfortunately the painting wasn't up to their usual standard.
Good news, Battlefront contacted it's customers, if we returned the buildings, they would repaint them personally, and we would all get a blister pack for the inconvenience.
Now for a sense of deja vu, lets open this box:

Premium Building Subscription
2pm today the first three premium subscription buildings arrived in the UK warehouse, and at 4pm I had them in my hands to take home with me, so I'm going to have a look inside the boxes.

The start of the game, recce move forward, Tigers and Aufklarungs prepare the spearhead.
An overall view of the table, taken whilst Mick springs his 57mm ambush, he then promptly grabs a cup of tea. (Being Guards armoured and all)
One of the Aufklarung platoons has pinned and assaulted the Para's in the building, both platoons are mauled yet the Grenadiers carry the day. The remaining squaddie from the 101st platoon manages to pass his last man standing right until the end of the game. The flanking platoon gets ripped to pieces by the ambushing 57's.
The clanking monstrosities of Hummel's patchwork Tigers finish of the ATG's and prepare to assault the dug in infantry on the objective.
Ru-oh! No wide tracks and unreliable you say? One of the tigers bogs on the streams bank leaving just two Tigers.
One Tiger is bailed by the Firefly leaving his mate to consider if this was the best of tactics.
The flanking Aufklarung platoon remounts its remaining half tracks and destroys three stands outside the cornfield. Just out of shot are 6 carriers with .50 cals stalking the half-tracks.
The end is nigh! With only one active tiger (The bailed one in the cornfield refused to remount and the the other was unable to dig itself out of the river bank. The firefly bailed the second for goo measure whilst the para's took a leisurely stroll and captured all 3.
That was game over for SS Kampfgruppe Brinkman, though they lost two platoons it was still a convincing win for the Allied force.
Conflict Central - Day Two - Vietnam Multiplayer Scenario
Day Two was a bit different, a multiplayer scenario game. Owen, Dan and Will were joined by Matt Sulley who had to work on Day One, whilst Mike Hummel, Bob Davies and myself led the Free World Forces. Nobby officiated.

Conflict Central - FOW Vietnam Tournament
This past weekend, Nobby put on Conflict Central, a Mid War and Vietnam tournament. Only 6 players turned out for Vietnam, which gave us a three round tournament on Saturday and a multiplayer scenario game on Sunday.
Owen and I went down to represent Reluctant Conscripts, with his PAVN and my ANZACs.

Sturm Uber Deutschland tournament report
The Reluctant Conscripts held their annual Late War event, an open book competition with an almost equal Axis to Allies split, we did adopt one limitation and that was to remove AoP’s. We had 50 players, making it among the largest events in the UK.
Report and pictures after the jump...
Enigneers Sappers vs. Speerverband in Dust Up
This is a game Owen and I played before Sturm Uber Deutschland, a Dust Up between his Engineer Sapper list that he took to the event, and a Speerverband, providing a (vaguely) historical match up.
