Corrivalry Battle Report, Game 1

101st Airbourne Rifle Company vs Schwere Panzer Company in Cauldron

Saturday morning kicks of and I am facing Simon Pugh with his 101st Airbourne Rifle Company.

Carius an Kersher are deployed to the left flank of the American para's whilst the second Tiger Platoon deploy in the centre.  On Simon's turn he moves out the Shermans and trys for some flank shots on the Tigers.

In my turn the CO turns his turret and try's to take out the American tanks.

The Sherman's continue to dance with the Tigers and loose a couple in the process.  The armoured AA come on from reserve and move towards the orchard in the middle.  I new it was a risk yet I wanted a target juicy enough for Simon to spring his TD ambush.

The ambush is revealed.  Hellcats pop in the orchard.

The AA are the intended target.

Not quite the result i was after, 6 hits and 3 dead AA :(

Carius and Kercher move to the edge and take shots at the Hellcats.

Hetzers move on from reserve and take brew up two more Sherman's

Tiger's move up to harass the remaining Hellcat's.

Carius, Kerscher and the CO move up to claim the objective.

Charge!

The assault is stalled by the combined firepower of three Tiger's.

Final result, 5 - 2 to me.
